HOW IT ALL STARTED
By giving them friendship bracelets, Audrey Elwood (the founder of Bracelets of Hopes) and Spoorthy Siddam (the co-founder) love to help disenfranchised children by reassuring them that they have someone who cares for them deeply.
Together they have decided to run this non-profit organization with their new team!
AUDREY
ELWOOD
"I am Audrey Elwood, the founder of bracelets of hopes! I'm a 10th grader from Jackson High! I love debate, politics & I am my school's Model UN treasurer!
I started Bracelets Of Hopes to combine my 2 passions, helping people & making friendship bracelets. In my spare time, I was making more bracelets than I could give out, & that's what sparked the idea!"

Our Audrey works with another organization called The Tomorrow Project. She is a talented debater! who won an award her first year of speech and debate! (impressive!)

"Hi! I'm Spoorthy & I'm the Co- Founder of BOH. I am a rising sophomore at Jackson High School. I enjoy writing and am very interested in philosophy. My morals are simple -treat everyone with respect, do whatever I want as long as I'm not hurting anyone and fight against social injustices!
I absolutely loved the idea of sending bracelets to the underprivileged kids which is why I agreed to work with Audrey!"
FUN FACT!
Our Spoorthy is a great writer! she is now working on many things which she doesn't want people to know yet (oou!) we believe she is a follower of the quote
"Don't tell them your plans, show them the results"
Also, Our spoorthy has a strange obsession over rings

"Hey everyone! I'm your social media director! I live in WA state & I'm going to be a sophomore. I discovered Bracelets Of Hopes through my friend Spoorthy & adored the cause!
I love smoothies with coconut, female r+b, the earth & pineapple candles! I've loved being part of the team & can't wait to see what more we do to educate & make the world a little bit more hopeful."

Our Alyssa is an ambassador of an amazing organization with the name of Sticky Feminist (wow!) You may use the code "alyssa10" if you are planning on buying a sticker! Alyssa loves the UCLA film grad, Ashley (AKA Bestdressed)! and learning about inspirations behind artworks!

BOUCHARD
"Hey I'm Caylee & I am the financial director! I live in Arizona & will be a sophomore. I joined Bracelets Of Hopes because I am passionate about helping children in foster homes.
I love to watch hockey, hang out with friends, halloween, & travel. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!"
Fun Fact!
Our Caylee loves Criminal Minds! especially the fictional character Spencer Reid (who doesnt?), a genius with an IQ of 187 and is able to read 20,000 words/min, played by Mathew Gray Gubler!

"Hi everyone! I'm Tola, the outreach director. I'm 15 & I'm going into sophomore year of high school. I love cooking, writing, & politics. Another one of my passions is traveling; & I'm fortunate enough to be able to visit different countries.
Which is why I love Bracelets Of Hopes because I've seen first hand the homelessness & poverty that people experience not only in america but in other countries. When someone receives your bracelet that was specially made for them, it really is hope for a better future."

Samindhi Wijesinghe
"Hi! I’m Samindhi and I’m a resource coordinator for Bracelets of Hopes. I live in WA state and I’m going to be a sophomore. Helping people is a huge part of my life which is why I joined Bracelets of Hopes. Through Bracelets of Hopes I want to help spread awareness about domestic violence/homelessness and help create a more positive environment for kids."

Our Samindhi is very passionate about spreading awareness and collecting funds for street dogs so she started a campaign with the name of #ChangingDogsLives last year (whoa!)

"Heyy, I'm Sophie and I'm one of the resource coordinators. I fence and do all kinds of stupid stuff in my spare time, but the most important thing about me is that I love cats and hugs!"

Our Sophie loves playing with her cat!(aww) she is passionate about saving cats & kittens lives! Sophie's interest lies in animation! and she loves Vocaloid!
Arabi Mahanujam
"Hi everyone. I'm Arabi and I'm one of the resource coordinators. I'm a rising junior living in Toronto and I'm passionate about helping the less fortunate through good deeds. I'm interested in medicine, politics and advocacy. In my free time I like to read, write, cook, travel and help out in my community."
